Weight Loss Programs

As a member of the Obesity Canada organization, Dr. Sheldon Bjorgaard utilizes several medically supervised weight loss programs in his practice in order to help patients reverse insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, prevent disease, and gain control of their health and wellness.

'Nourish' Healthy Weight Program

What is it?

  • We use a personalized, systematic program consisting of 12 weeks of individualized nutrition coaching and the implementation of our sustainable weight loss nutrition & lifestyle system that focuses on anti-inflammatory eating patterns (AIEP) and fat-targeted intermittent fasting (FTIF) protocols that allows you to consistently and sustainably lose fat and reverse insulin resistance for life long health and wellness. Learn how to consume the right nutrients at the right times, in the right amounts for YOUR body to thrive. 

Who is it for?

  • This program is for patients who struggle to lose weight and keep it off long term, or suffer from “rebound” weight gain following periods of weight loss. It is especially recommended for those with medical conditions such as pre-diabetes, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, PCOS, or metabolic syndrome, which can be reversed with healthy weight loss.

  • This program is for those who are motivated to permanently change their nutrition and lifestyle and have not found lasting success with other approaches. It is for those who are needing holistic and  individualized  approach rather than a "one size fits all" approach.

 

What can I expect?

  • While individual results may vary, it is common to see 1-2 lbs of weight loss per week, ongoing by implementing healthy, nutritious eating habits and Intermittent Fasting techniques.

Rapid Weight Loss (RWL) Program

What is it?

  • This is a 4-6 week program which utilizes a specific nutritional plan with Intermittent Fasting in order to lose body fat relatively quickly while sparing lean muscle and minimizing hunger cravings.

 

Who is it for?

  • This program is appropriate for those with 50+ pounds to lose, and can provide a “jump start” to long term change.

What can I expect?

  • While results vary on an individual basis, it is not uncommon to lose 0.5 lbs per day. This can equate to 15-20 lbs in as little as 6 weeks.
