Dr. Sheldon Bjorgaard utilizes serveral medically superivised weight loss programs in his practice in order to help patients reverse metabolic syndrome, prevent disease, and gain control of their health and wellness.

Rapid Weight Loss (RWL) Program

What is it?

  • This is a 6 week program which utilizes a specific high protein, low calorie diet in order to lose body fat relatively quickly while sparing lean muscle and minimizing hunger cravings.

 

Who is it for?

  • This program is appropriate for those with 50+ pounds to lose, and can provide a “jump start” to long term change.

What can I expect?

  • While results vary on an individual basis, it is not uncommon to lose 0.5 lbs per day! This can equate to 15-30 lbs in as little as 6 weeks!

Slim Health Weight Loss and Metabolic Health Program

What is it?

  • This program builds on the rapid weight loss program and provides a “transition” phase which helps patients who struggle to keep weight off long term, or suffer from “rebound” weight gain following periods of weight loss. It involves 12 weeks of dietary counselling, nutritional support and regular follow ups to track progress.

Who is it for?

  • This program is appropriate for those who have finished the rapid weight loss program and would like to continue to lose weight. It is also for those who have tried other commercial weight loss programs unsucessfully and would benefit from a more individualized approach. 

 

What can I expect?

  • While individual results may vary, it is common to see 1-2 lbs of weight loss per week, for a total of 12-30 lbs over the course of the 90 day program.

SlimPossible Healthy Weight Loss Program

What is it?

  • The Slim Possible Healthy Weight Loss Program is a comprehensive weight loss program that combines personalized nutritional and dietary counselling with a licensed Naturopathic Doctor and personalized fitness training with certified and experienced trainers.

  • In this program, Dr. Sheldon has partnered with SusaFit fitness studio in Maple Ridge, BC in order to provide access to high quality individualized fitness instruction in addition to dietary counselling and nutritional programming provided in the Slim Health Weight Loss Program.

 

Who is it for?

  • This program is appropriate for anyone who is struggling with weight gain, obesity, or metabolic syndrome and has tried other weight loss programs with limited results. It is also appropriate for those who would like structured and personalized fitness instruction and support in addition to dietary counselling.  

 

What can I expect?

  • Similar to the Slim Health program, 1-2 lbs of healthy weight loss per week is our goal. With the addition of a structured and progressive exercise program, the loss of muscle mass is prevented for optimal body composition results.
